- The conditions in which male prostitutes live are usually precarious and difficult. Many of them cut themselves to “relief” their pain .
- Many male prostitutes have been abandoned from their families during their childhood. As a result, this makes it difficult for them to establish strong emotional bonds that can go further from the ones that they get from their client.
- Alex (33) in front of an unused tv. The image represents the emptiness and emotional state of many of the male prostitutes in Santiago that are searching to give meaning to their lives.

- Claudio (37) lived a childhood full of comfort and privileges in a family that belonged to a high society in Chile. Crack consumption led him to live on the streets and to practice prostitution as a way of life.
- Víctor and Héctor are known as “Los Pimpinelas” in the neighborhood, they don´t have a house to live in and they usually rent motel rooms to spend the night in downtown Santiago.
